I am a Master’s student from India. My thesis is about exploring the microbial communities in the sea-surface microlayer (SML) – an under-represented habitat in the pelagic environment. I find the SML intriguing with regards to the interactions between the organisms living in it, what they share and how they survive in this extreme habitat. I am eager to try out new techniques, be it in the lab or bioinformatics. I am a curious and quick learner, and I like to pursue a problem to find creative solutions. In my free time I like to read, craft and bake.
