I am Lebanese, born in the vibrant lands of Ivory Coast, where I spent my childhood. My journey brought me back to Lebanon, where I pursued my studies and earned a bachelor’s degree in biology from the Lebanese University. My life has been a constant quest for understanding, fueled by boundless scientific curiosity and a vivid imagination. From a young age, I was inspired by the works of great scientific communicators, especially Neil deGrasse Tyson. One of his quotes that has always resonated with me is, “The Universe is under no obligation to make sense to you.”
Currently, I am at Oldenburg University, pursuing a Master’s in Microbiology and diving into the fascinating field of metagenomics. My master’s thesis ventures into the unseen realms of microbial life, where I seek to uncover the intricate dance of cooperation among microorganisms. Within a single species, I see a symphony of division and unity, a higher level of intraspecies cooperation and complexity. I believe that microbes should be studied not only as a collective force but also for the individuality they exhibit.
In my free time, I enjoy listening to science fiction audiobooks, gaming, and spending time with the people I care about. My journey is one of discovery, ever inspired by the mysteries of the universe and the infinite possibilities it holds.
